Hello everyone!
I have a dilemma that has to do with the construction of lighting system. My general question is how you build up your lighting automation. Do you use groups, scenes, or scripts with specific values?
Right now I use a RasberyPi3 with Homebridge, Nexa WTE 2 (433MHz) wall switch, Fibarro Dimmer, Qubino Dimmer, Logitech Harmon and Philips Hue.
My goal is that irrespective of the input device I'm using, iPhone, Nexa button or Z-Wave switches I want to toggle scenes and that they are in sync, like homeKit handles lighting and scenes.
A scene in homeKit have for example 3 lamps with respective 10%, 20% and 10%. You raise any of these three lights to 11%, then the scene will be disabled.
Pressing the same scene, the lamp at 11% will go to 10% again, and the scene will appear as active.
Now I want to go to the button in the hall that activates this scene and then Domoticz system understand that the scene or perhaps the group is active and turn off the lights from another button.
How do I resolve this?
Should I let the script read the value of the lights and then enable or disable a group? Or should I ignore groups in Domoticz? Or how do you solve this if you want to toggle groups or stages or more lamps, several buttons or mobile?
How do you build up your lighting automation?
