How to include Devolo TRV?

Post by hamish »

Does anyone know how to get this sucker to include?

The manual is pants.

The danfoss manual is SLIGHTLY better. At least I know what LI, M and Pb now mean... But although the Danfoss manual at least mentions inclusion/exclusion, nowhere does either manual say how to get the damn thing into include/exclude mode...

Now, I've never had a particularly smooth ride with my Aeotec G5 stick and including devices, but this one takes the cake... I know it's possible, because I've seen people here with them included. Just no idea how they managed it...

Li (Link Test) just flashes the aerial and then reverts to temp display with both aerial and bell flashing (Link failure?)

Danfoss manual says going to M (Management Mode) will confirm inclusion or exclusion... Actually all it does it show an M... Nothing more.

TIA

Here are my notes (below), they are brief but hope they help. I use a G5 stick but my software is Indigo. I haven't had sync problems with the devolo TRV's. All you do is put the controller into include mode and press the (o) button on the TRV. With Indigo you then have to do a "sync" which I believe exchanges information.

Here are my notes:

Devolo
Factory Reset. Remove One battery, replace with (o) pressed
Include
Put controller into include mode
(o) - light will flash quickly, when done do a sync
To enter install mode
(0) Until M
(0) - pin will retract
To exit install mode
(0) Until M
(0) Until movement (3 secs) - pin with move out shutting off water
Test transmit
(0) until M
< to get L1
(0)
Change Room Size
(0) until M
< twice to get Pb
(0)
< or > for L1 (small), L2 (med) or L3 (large)
