Hi all,

Completely new to this and currently planning out my build. I was looking at control4 for my home theatre, and to later expand to the rest of the house, but am interested in domoticz particularly on a price point. I'd like to do some thorough research before dropping money on any hardware.
One thing I rather liked about control 4 is that with the system controllers you had a naitive GUI which you could select what you wanted to launch/watch/listen to, and the '4' button always took you back there. Is this a thing with domoticz? I haven't been able to find anything about it.
also, is there an app that has a customisable GUI?

Domoticz is not a media-selection solution at this moment. You would have to create your own gui to interact with your media player as well as domoticz. Possible (created my own LMS webinterface) but quite some work, especially do get decent looks

Create your own gui. Not so difficult.
Ihave pages for movies and tvshows. Directly from the movieposter powerup the mediaplayer, turn on tv and lighting, switch amplifier to correct input and volume,...
