Lua script help

Hi all,
I need help with Lua script.
I'm having esp8266 that controls light. At the same time , the same controller check for voltage(sensing).
I would like to sense the gpio and update the status of the lamp ( off or on).
The main Idea is to have manual switch to the lamp and also esp8266 control for the same lamp.
Can someone help with Lua code?
