Homebuilt Power sensor

Post by lagerberg »

Hi,
As a project for fun I am building my own Power sensor with a AtTiny85 chip and a 433Mhz transmitter.
The plan is to read voltage from a current transformer, to keep track of the electricity used by my heat pump.
I plan to use the Oregon v3 protocol and feed that into Domoticz. I have it all set up and working with a THGR810 sensor, and I can emulate that temperature sensor with my homebuilt hardware - all the way into Domoticz.
The problem now is when I try to move this (working) solution to instead act as a power sensor it does not seem to work.
I plan to use the OWL CM180 protocol, as seen here:

Decode and parse the Oregon Scientific V3 radio data transmitted by OWL CM180 Energy sensor (433.92MHz)
https://github.com/onlinux/OWL-CM180

Using that stream of data, I can transmit and receive correctly into an Arduino used as receiver.
When I switch to rfxmngr I get nothing, and when I switch "undec on" I get this:
Packettype = UNDECODED RF Message
UNDECODED OREGON3:7062803CE8006047D9120000D08500
This is the same data I am sending, except for that there is a "70" added to the start, and "00" at the end.

Reading the manual for rfxtrx, it should support the CM 180... Any idea on what I'm doing wrong?
Is maybe not this sensor supported with the Oregon v3 protocol?
