2 domoticz servers on the same subnetwork

Post by manuT »

Hello,

I have a domoticz server on a raspberry pi3 (v3.5877) on the 3030 port. This port is redirected to the outside so I can access it when I'm not home.
It has a basic auth.

I started a new domoticz server on another rpi3 to test some Enocean hardware a few days ago (v3.4834 custom compiled to support Enocean smartplug). The rpi3 is on the same router and use the 8080 port which is open to the outside world, as my main rpi is. It has also a basic auth.

I have some issues using the login page and I found something strange: when I try to connect to one server, the second one (with basic auth) needs authentication too...
Quite often, it cannot refresh the pages and need to relog to the webpage.

Do you have an idea why 2 domoticz servers could interfere?

I think it's your browser that is doing that.
Try it using 2 different browsers.

You're right!
One firefox and one chrome instances do not mix up.

I once had the same with a custom http and https port. Browser always wanted https. Browser to stupid to see you type a port number at the end of the url.
