EvoTouch control using RFBee

Post by neilcoggins »

Hi,

I have 7 zones (1xHR80 in each of 7 rooms), and the EvoTouch controller works perfectly with them. Just managed to flash an RFBee with the EvoHomeWirelessFW sketch, and can connect Domoticz to my v23 EvoTouch (monochrome) controller with it. I get 21 devices in Domoticz (7 pairs of [Relay,Zone] with same ID, which I assume are the HR80s, and 7 devices [5xZone, 1xRelay, 1xDHW] which appear to be the EvoTouch controller). I get temperature readings from the Zone entries that appear to be (broadly) correct, and when the EvoTouch schedule changes the HR80s, the changes are reported in Domoticz.

HOWEVER, only 2 of the Zone entries respond if I set an override on the temperature using Domoticz. Those 2 Zones update both the appropriate HR80 -and- the EvoTouch. The other 5 Zones are not able to be managed by Domoticz (I'm running v3.5989 on a Debian Jessie PC).

It -might- be a coincidence, but the 2 Zones that work are the closest Zones to the Domoticz PC - is range of the RFBee the problem? (Closest HR80 is 4m away, furthest is about 12m away, through 3 walls. I have tested with the EvoTouch < 1m from the RFBee, and ~10m away - the location of the EvoTouch has no effect on which Zones can be controlled by Domoticz).

Any thoughts, anyone?

(Oh, and please ignore the "Raspberry Pi as Target OS" in my profile - that's my goal - this is currently happening on an x64 PC)

Hi Neil,

I've only just noticed your post, sorry. Did you manage to solve your problem with only being able to control 2 zones? If not, let me know and I'll try and help troubleshoot. The RFBee's messages only need to be received by your controller, so location shouldn't be a problem.

I'll be setting up a RFBee myself in a few weeks to assist with my development work on the Domoticz Evohome code as I'm hoping to be able to add additional features that I've not been able to implement with the HGI80.
