Ethernet to RS232

Hello,

Could not find a real answer so trying here :)

I would like to control my AV receiver and TV via Domoticz, they both have the capability to be controlled via RS232, but my Domoticz appliance is in another place than the TV and receiver.

Does anyone know if there is an Ethernet to RS232 controller and if so can i connect this to the TV and AV receiver via Domoticz so that i can control my TV and Receiver with it? (Or and old Rpi with USB to Serial cables in between)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! Paul

@Domosapiens

That will only work in conjunction with a MAX232A. RS232 levels can be as high as 15V so a TTL device won't like it very much ;)

I'm building one myself with these parts:
