Hi,
Domoticz needs new sensor types for vibration and orientation.
The Fibaro FGMS-001 (0x1001 0x0801) multi-sensor can be configured to detect orientation or vibration. Domoticz should be able to collect and log the values, similar to how it collects other sensor data, like, temperatures.
The Aeotec Multisensor 6 is also able to detect vibration.

Vibration in Fibaro multisensor is used as Tamper
Even if you can set up its sensitivity, I think it returns only an open/close circuit, not a G value

The most dangerous phrase in any language is:
"We always done this way"

Re: Vibration and orientation sensor types needed
In the Fibaro FGMS-001's device's settings, the tamper sensor can be set to several modes, including orientation and vibration.
You cannot put orientation into a single on/off binary value. And the vibration is supposed to give out a number, indicating the averaged amplitude of the vibration during a timeslot. Internet examples from other Domotica systems indicate that the FGMS-001 provides data in a more sophisticated way than Domoticz can currently handle.
Domoticz is not equipped with sensors that could adequately register and/or depict orientation. Vibration could be depicted with any type of sensor that can show a number but it would be good if a fitting icon and fitting scales would be available.
Maybe your Fibaro sensor is different. I think, Fibaro made several versions of this sensor, all having the same model number but different ID numbers. That's why I stated mine (0x1001 0x0801).
