Fibaro FGWPE wall plug updates usage too much

Post by G3rard »

I have a Fibaro FGWPE wall plug to which my dryer is connected. This works great to monitor when the dryer is ready, based on the usage.

But when the dryer is off, I get an update of the usage every few seconds. It seems the dryer is using ~0.3 Watt and then again 0.0 Watt and switches between that. If I pull out the plug of the dryer there are no updates, so this has certainly to do with the fact that the dryer has a small usage when turned off.

In the log I can see the usage is updated very much and I don't want that because of the overload of Zwave traffic (I see a Zwave timeout notification every now and then). Also these updates are not relevant as the dryer is turned off.

Any idea how to fix this?
I already tried to change setting # 42, 43 and 45, but that makes no changes.

Domoticz v3.5075 with Zwave v1.4-167-g733975b.

I changed parameter 43 to 180 seconds, but I still get usage updates every few seconds, see the screenshot below.
Any ideas what I have to change?

What happens if nothing is connected to the plug?

Then there are no updates. So it has something to do with the fact that the dryer has a small usage when it's off.

Switch of the plug when not in use. Bye bye sleep consumption.
I'm just wondering: why a plug for a dryer?

Fibaro FGWPE wall plug updates usage too much

With the plug and a script I get a message when the dryer is ready (see my first post). This is handy because the dryer is on the attic and this way we know when we are downstairs when it's ready.

But it's strange that I get unplanned updates for the sleep consumption, but when the dryer is actually drying, I only get updates when the usage changes more then the percentage defined in 42.
Even when I change that to 100 or more (sleep usage is between 0.0 and 0.3 Watt), it still updates a number of times every minute when the dryer is off.

I thought that maybe someone knows how to configure this.
Switching the plug on and off is not the solution I am looking for.

I have set parameter 40 Immediate power report to 100 and that seems to solve the problem.
