I just installed on Raspberry Pi about a week ago. I am using Aeon Gen5 USB dongle.
First device was GE (Iris) outdoor outlet. It works fine and is controlling outdoor lights great for a week.
Yesterday and today I have tried the Aeon Gen5 Dry Contact sensor. It does seem to sort of install?? In Setup/Devices there are four items logged for the sensor. All 4 are Typed: Light/Switch but three of them show battery level of 100%. I'm guessing one is actually a battery level and one is a battery level alarm. Their Names are: Alarm Type, Alarm Level, Sensor and Flood. Alarm Type, Alarm Level and Flood are the one that show Battery Level 100%.
When I short or open the dry contacts the LED on the Aeon sensor flashes like it has sent an open or close message - but the status of the switches never changes.
Has anyone been able to use the Dry Contact Sensor from Aeon.
I did read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=5545
It appears Gen5 was not working at one point.
- is it working now?
- should I upgrade from stable 3.4834 to Beta for Gen5 stuff?
Thanks
Aeon Gen 5
