Local protection in fibaro Roller Shutter does nothing
Dear all,
I have different FIBARO System FGRM222 Roller Shutter Controller 2, and in all of them it is impossible for me to activate Local protection, in order that buttons are useless.
I try: Setup -> Hardware -> OpenZWave USB Version: 1.4-232-g4f7da52 Set Up -> FGRM222 Roller Shutter Controller 2 -> Parameter 1 Local Protection -> Local protection active. Roller Shutter does not respond to Push buttons, but it doesn't work for me.
I have tried many times with different devices, but it is not possible to activate, and push buttons still respond. However if I calibrate the roller shutter via Parameter 29. Forced Roller Shutter calibration -> Start Calibration process it works at the same instant.
Could you tell me what I'm doing wrongly?
My goal is to have some script that makes something like: if (globalvariables['Security'] = 'Armed Away') then all roller shutter push buttons disabled by using Parameter 1 of each z-wave configuration.
Best regards
janmpo

Re: Local protection in fibaro Roller Shutter does nothing
Hi,
Anyone was able to replicate the problem? Perhaps is only that happens only in my installation? Please if anyone can confirm that is working properly I will appreciate (and I will reinstall my PI domoticz)
What about how to manage in LUA z-Wave Parameters based on scripting?
Best regards

Hi Flo,
Did you have the chance to try it?
I have played with some params, and it seems that if you change to gate mode, it has the desired effect, but I don't know why.
Actually I ask to my self if I have to switch to fibaro protocol instead of zwave.
Any trick is welcome.

Hi Emme,
Thanks for your reply. No, all of them are connected correctly, I have already double check. Have you tried it? Does it work for you?

I was unable to replicate your problem, but I had issues (specially in energy monitoring) due to cable inversion.
I'll double check this evening as soon as I get home and I'll return to you.

Re: Local protection in fibaro Roller Shutter does nothing
Hi Flo,
Exactly the same happens to me. I can choose the mode and apply it, but does nothing, the screen shows "No protection. Roller Shutter responds to push buttons", and of course push buttons works....
Maybe a bug?
Anyone else can share feedback?

Re: Local protection in fibaro Roller Shutter does nothing
so no relation with the controler model.
the thing is domoticz in the hardware setup doesn't accept the parameter where you setup the protection mode. maybe this function is not supported in domoticz ....

You should be able to do this via the control panel ?

Hi,
More weird things, if I change param 10. Roller Shutter operating modes to 4. Gate mode with positioning, I get the desire behavior with param 1 and the door is locked for push buttons and RF as well (param 2)....
Anyone has a non domoticz controller, I guess that the problem is in openzwave implementation, but I''m not sure....

Hi,
Anyone else can confirm that? I don't know why but the behavior in my case is as I stated before.

Re: Local protection in fibaro Roller Shutter does nothing
Hi,
Anyone else can try to reproduce the same behaviour with z-wave roller shutter devices? I have tried to do it via zwave control panel: <IP>/ozwcp/cp.html, and the same behaviour.... so I guess that the problem is on openzwave....

Re: Local protection in fibaro Roller Shutter does nothing
Well, for me, on a Synology DS213+ with Domoticz 3.5877 and FGRM222, the protection for button works but not the calibration...
Re: Local protection in fibaro Roller Shutter does nothing
Very weird as well,
Please use an sniffer (see below) and try to use the following URL
http://<domoticz_host>/json.htm?type=command¶m=applyzwavenodeconfig&idx=<zwaveid_sniffer>&valuelist=29_U3RhcnQgY2FsaWJyYXRpb24gcHJvY2Vzcw%3D%3D
where
<domoticz_host> is their IP / Hostaname
<zwaveid_sniffer> is the id that you will get from a zwave configuration command that works for you. You will need to use wireshark / tcpdump or similar.
valuelist=29_ is callibration parameter
U3RhcnQgY2FsaWJyYXRpb24gcHJvY2Vzcw%3D%3D is URIencode(btoa("Start callibration process"))
Does it work for you?
It is strange but from ZWave CP i can't do the callibnration however in this way it Works. Tha bad new is the security mode is still not working at least for me.
Good luck and I will look forward to reading from you
