domoticz image and installation questions

Hello guys

Does the domoticz raspberry pi image come with openzwave preinstalled ?
How should I update the openzwave version in the preinstalled image?

I'm a pretty happy user of domoticz with zwave, mochad x10 & harmony hub devices and more to come .
I 'm currently already on the r-pi image, which I installed quite some time ago (like 2 or more years!!). Over time the gui update stopped working, no idea what is going wrong but I'm stuck at some 2xxx version now. Also my openzwave is pretty outdated.

So I decided to update both to the dev version, I pulled in both openzwave and domoticz from git and started building ... took me the entire sunday to compile on my r-pi v1.
Everything got build (in the end) but the end result is not good,
-openzwave does not want to pull a higher version then v1.3xx, while latest is v1.4xx ??
-domoticz seems to start correctly (log is short, but guess that is normal with empty db), but when I launch browser, all I get is jquery error in log and background in browser.
-Also if I launch my old domoticz installation which is still in parallel, I get zwave devices in locked up state after a few triggers, so something must be messed up.

Rather then spending another few hours in getting the dev version to work, I think I better start from a new sd image. I have currently no intend on developing for domoticz, so it is probably better to use the image, I was just trying to get away from my update issue.

You can't update openzwave in the SD image. If you want that you'll need to compile yourself.
But, openzwave is updated regularly within the Domoticz update process.
If you had searched the forum you would have found the solution for your update issue.

I previously searched the forum, but guess my search terms were not very efficient as I did not find the answer, my fault.
Case closed, will install new sdcard image this evening and do regular updating it in the future

So if I am using the Domoticz PI image, there is no way to have Domoticz use a custom-built openzwave?

To use a custom build openzwave, I would need to use a general-purpose Pi distro, and manually install Domoticz and OpenZwave?
