delta t lua

hello im programming a fan for free cooling in the summer but i am not so good in programming in lua

can someone please help me with i think is a simple script.

i have an outside temp sensor and an inside temp sensor and i want it to set a user variable Delta t (like every 5 minutes or so)

so for example: outside temp is 25 degrees and inside temp is 20 degrees i want a uservariable (delta_t) that states: -5 degrees

i can not find a simmular lua script that does only this.only verry complex ones but i'm nog good enough to filter out this pease.

can someone please help me??

i am realy a dumbass with lua

to make it a little bit more challenging, im temporarely using the weather underground for my outside temp(im buying my own soon).
i beleve you have to filter out the temp value??????
