TH12 - Imagintronix Moisture sensor
Hi,
Does anyone recognize this problem: I've bought a XT300 moisture sensor. In RFXcom manager the sensor shows up, but in Domoticz (v3.4834) it is not seen. Even when I put the sensor next to my RPI.... strange. Any solution?
Marten.
Packettype = TEMP_HUM
subtype = TH12 - Imagintronix
channel 2
Sequence nbr = 94
ID = 2
Temperature = 24 °C
Humidity = 99
Status = Wet
Signal level = 5 -80dBm
Battery = OK

Re: TH12 - Imagintronix Moisture sensor
Hi
I just added three of them to my setup and they showed up just fine after enabling the protocol in Domoticz. I'm in the latest beta version of Domoticz and Type 1 ver 1001 of RFXtrx.
The only drawback is they are very chatty and with three of them transmitting it looks like they are blocking some of my Oregon temperature sensors from time to time.
If they could be slowed down to only transmit say every five minutes it would probably help.
Matt

Re: TH12 - Imagintronix Moisture sensor
I did some more research.
It is a transmissionproblem of the sensor. Within 50cm of the antenna it works, a little bit more distance and the signal is lost. The 17 cm replacement antenna I bought for my trx433 does not receive anything from this sensor, while all the other devices are working fine. The original antenna does receive the signal, but only form close by.
So.... i've sent an email to www.plantcaretools.com

Re: TH12 - Imagintronix Moisture sensor
I use the tx300 now in our vegetable garden (in the netherlands) for one week now. On the internet and on this forum i searched for below which humidity level i should irrigate. I could not find this question/answer.

Re: TH12 - Imagintronix Moisture sensor
Not quiet sure if I may reply to this topic with a new question or should start a new topic... but I have the same device and thought this would be the best place?
I bought two Imagitronix moisture sensors. One of them is found by Domoticz immediately, the other isn't found at all. Reinstalling the batteries didn't work. Any suggestions?
The second issue is with the sensor that is found. The humidity level is switching between 100% and 0% constantly. Is this a matter of tuning the software side or maybe a hardware issue?

perhaps it helps when you change the channel on the device

If you filter under setup devices for 'Imagintronix' you should get a result like
10 rfx 0001 1 Makkelijke Moestuin Temp + Humidity Imagintronix 18.0 C, 5 % 5 100 Set UnusedRename Device Log 2018-07-10 22:18:25
