LightwaveRF On/Off sockets JSJSLW381

Post by TheBod »

Hi

Is it possible for Domoticz to control the basic On/Off sockets using the Rfxtrx433? I have some controlled by picking up the signal used by a lightwave remote, paired to the sockets? I would like to control these directly by Domoticz?

Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Create manually a LightwaveRF device on the Switches tab and select a random ID. Pair the module like you do with a remote by sending an ON command with the module in pairing mode.

Or receive the remote and click Add Device on the Setup - Devices page.
To receive LightwaveRF enable the AD/LightwaveRF protocol in the RFXtrx433.
And click Allow for 5 minutes on the Setup - Settings page to receive the remote

If you have a wifi link, you can use that and pick up the signals in Domoticz. I use the light wave app cause it looks much nicer, and Domoticz piggy backs onto the signals it sends out.

OK, created a manaul device in the switches page with a random ID. When I plugged in the On/Off socket, to enter pairing mode, I turned the switch on in the switches page. Unfortunately this did not link with the on/off.

I would like to avoid using the LWRf Wifi Link as I think this is causing a lot of the recent issues.

Any advice please?

When the socket is in pairing mode (both lights blinking), does anything happen when you press the switch in Domoticz, or does it just continue to blink and then time out?

OK.

In switches I create a new switch device using the manual option. I select;

Hardware - RFXCom
Device Name - Socket 1
Switch Type - On/Off
Type - LightwaveRF
ID - 01 01 01
Unit Code - 1

I save this (Add Device) then enter the switches menu. I then plug in the Lightwaverf oN/oFF Socket (JSJSLW380) so that it enters pairing mode (red LED blinking). I then select the newly created switch (Socket 1) but the On/Off fails to pair to this and just times out.

Any ideas greatly welcomed.

It is possible that the module doesn't have slots available for an additional remote.
Reset the module to remove all paired remotes and try again to pair the module using an ON command.

OK, managed to set up the plug in on/off switch to switch ON, but Domoticz does not switch it off? It only sends an off command?

Any help please?

Can you switch the module On/Off using RFXmngr?
Use the latest firmware version 1005.

Forgive my stupidity but how do I access the RFXmgr? The RFXcom is connected to a RPi, which I access via the IP address from a windows pc

Connect the RFXtrx433 to an USB port on your Windows system.
See also the RFXtrx User Guide how to run RFXmngr.
