Opentherm problem OTGW: random number

Post by martjah »

Hello,

It works via Opentherm.exe:

So i have a update, not a solution.

The "random" numbers are not random. It are the Opentherm messages that are the same as in the logging with OTmonitor.exe.

But i do not know why Domoticz cannot handle them. I did also update Domoticz to the latest stable version but that did not solve the problem.

I've solved my problem :)

The OTGW was in an "unknown" state. If you open OTmonitor.exe and push F7, you can see the current mode and switch mode.
I tried switching to Gateway but the OTGW did not respond to that (neither the custom GW=1) command.
So i tried updating the firmware and i had to manually reset the unit, i unplugged the OTGW and plugged it back in and it jumped to "Gateway" mode.
The update afterwards but that's not an issue for me because i did not need to update it.

I had the exact same issue.

First I tried to solve it this way:
- removed OTGW from hardware tab. (not sure if this was needed, bad thing is, the log is also deleted!!!)
- readded OTGW on hardware tab
- no result.
- deactivated OTGW in hardware tab.

Then:
- removed USB and power from OTGW.
- counted to 10 or 20, can't remember.
- reconnected OTGW
- reactivated OTGW in hardware tab.

Working!
RFLink Gateway → 433Mhz/KAKU switches
Z-Wave → Z-Stick Gen5+
ZigBee → ConBee II
Bluetooth → Soma Smart Shades
Opentherm Gateway → Remeha iSense - Tzerra boiler
ESP8266+CC1101 → ITHO ecofan RFT
P1 cable → DSMR 2.2+ Landys +gyr E350
LAN → Enphase Envoy
