Hello all,
My name is bert and I have been tinkering with an arduino for about a year now. But It isn't meeting my expectations. Now I would like to try a rpi2 with domoticz.
I want to measure my energy consumption with an tcrt5000.
On my arduino it was working very well but I wanted nice graphs like domoticz.
How can I connect a tcrt5000 to a rpi? I now have it connected to a gpio pun and it is able to see some on/off variations but not very good. It has some false interrupts or no interrupts at all.
How can I make this better? Or can I hook up my arduino with USB tot the rpi an let de duino calculate everything and spit the data to the rpi?
What is the best way, can someone help me with this?
Kind regards Bert.

Re: Newbie questions for kwh meter
I search something like that too !
I find this two interresting posts about that 'problem' But I don't try at this time...
It'll be nice to have a implemented pulse counter usable directly with Rpi GPIO (by example give how many pulses on one hour... I my case the pulses will be no more than one by second... I don't see the advantage to buy PiFace ou a USB tools to do that ! We have a lot of free GPIO on RPi !)
