I've been bothered by a fairly sluggish response to almost anything I do. If I press a button that's hooked up to some kind of script in Domoticz (via my RFXCOM), simple actions like switching lights on and off end up taking several seconds (sometimes up to 10) before you see any effect.
Are there any ways to diagnose the issue? I don't think the system is "overloaded" per se.
Would it help to upgrade to an RPi 2 or a different Pi-like device?

No response time issues here on a plain old B with an RFXCom...
Add the System Sensors (add Hardware > choose Motherboard Sensors from drop down...) to Domoticz and log CPU & Mem usage over time. Mine sits on a steady 3% CPU load / 30% memory load.
Biggest improvements to response times on my setup was to not use Wifi on the rasppi - use Ethernet.

Extended Domoticz homebridge-plugin for latest Homebridge - adds temp/humidity/pressure sensors, power consumption sensors, DarkSkies virtual weather station support, YouLess Meter support, general % usage support & switch/lamp status checking!

Re: Speed running on Raspberry Pi B+?
Strange. My load averages are around 0.2 for all three intervals, I'll add the sensors to Domoticz to get a proper chart going, though.
I've always been using Ethernet already.
