Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
So close, but still not there yet.
Got the package Domoticz working on my DS213+, also with the USB drivers.
What is working? I can access the Domoticz webserver, and be able to control my switches! This was a break through, perferct! To be honest, I thought I did it. BUT. After the first happy moments, I discovered that I am not receiving the signal of the switches itself. It's not that I receive nothing, but more nothing than something. Anyone a suggestion where to find a solution for this dilemma?
Regards

Mrschut, thats a bit strange. I run the same setup, I also got a DS213+ running Domoticz installed as package. Using USB serials drivers 3.0.2, Domoticz svn 2171. It runs without troubles. My Synology is placed at the first floor. All my switches are working 95 % of the time. My signal level is at least 6.
Is it possible that your RFXCOM transceiver is badly placed? You can try different locations for you antenna. See also chapter 2.5 from the RFXTRX guide. http://www.rfxcom.com/Documents/RFXtrx% ... 0Guide.pdf

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
Hey Remb0,
I have installed the Domoticz package (Cedarview) and the RFXcom USB driver package.
it works like a charm!
I have installed it on my DS713+ after having a go on openhab and openremote.
I figured quickly those other packages do require a whole lot more presetting and programming while I was looking for something working, adjustable but with freedom to alter to some degree to my own liking.
I was not very fond of bootstrapping etc etc.. but this is perfect, really, I got this installed and turned on and off light in about 30 min from finding your posting.
There is enough to discover and play with, I am sure I will develop some question, but for now I am ver happy.
THANKS!

Had the package Domoticz support Z-Wave, I too would be happy.

You may try to add http://steef84.asuscomm.com/sspks/ to your Synology Package Center Sources. Here I offer the packages that can be created by the work from Jorik from this thread. https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/1041. Please note this way no zwave is available at the moment this way. When needed zwave you may run this way http://www.synology-forum.nl/3rd-party- ... andleiding. Note that chroot is not working on at least qoriq cpu's on Synology

Hmm, for one it's good to know that there's someone else with the same hardare who got it running. That's a goal for me.steef84 wrote:Mrschut, thats a bit strange. First, let me compare the settings. I am running:
-) DS213+
-) FW 5.1 5021
-) USB drivers 3.0.2
-) Domoticz V2 2171 (package version 2171-3
With a RFXCOM RFXtrx433 (not the E version).
With this setup I am not receiving. You propose that my receiver is badly placed. This I thought of myself, so I specifically tested it with a switch in the same room. No result though. However, this still is my main possibility. The receiver is now positioned near all my stereo stuff (not that many by the way, a TV and, well, that's it basically). I am pretty sure I have put my raspberry also in the same spot without this issue (it'a hard te remember for certain all the options I tried while exploring and learning with these toys).
Can you confirm you are running FW 5.1 5021 as well?
I will try uninstalling everything and reinstalling again. And if this isn't working moving my NAS to the same place where my raspberry is located.
Will takes some days due to Christmas season...

Make sure 'accept new hardware devices' is enabled in the application settings, also check the enabled protocols (hardware setup, rfxcom, setup button),mschut wrote:So close, but still not there yet.

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
I have updated the wiki page, started from scratch (latest synology firmware, bootstrap,...)
Updated patches for:
- OpenZWave 965
http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/DomoticzSynology
I am able to compile openzwave and domoticz, you just have to follow the wiki step-by-step
But i dont know if this information is usable for building a SPK
The openzwave patch is to remove all references to hidapi and udev

Thanks Stefan!
I have Domoticz installed on my DS214+ now.
Seems to work nicely!
I have no need for Z-Wave at the moment, so I don;t have any issues with installing USB support.

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
Stefan,
I have setup Domoticz on my Syno. All is working well. I manually copied the settings from my Pi to the Syno.
Somehow I now can no longer log in to the Domoticz on my Syno. I do get the welcome screen and I can enter my username and password, but these are not excepted...
Any way to reset the password or get past this screen?
=> solved it by reinstalling Domoticz...

On your advice, and by the link prompted deanrparry http://www.synology-forum.nl/3rd-party- ... ndleiding/sarakha63 wrote:To have a completely working domoticz whatever synology you use.
I strongly advice using a debian chroot. With this i have domoticz running since 5 months. With all update and all functions.
It takes some couple hours to configure the debian but it worths it as once it is done you can do whatever you want and you are not anymore spk dependant or else.
I guarantee you everyone. This really worths it.
I decided to try to do it on Syno DS3612 (xpenology).
Everything happened on port 8080 open the program. But I have not found in devices Z-Wave stick. And after I rebooted the server, now I can not run Domoticz.

You star! I'll try building an spk on my Vm soonish...I deleted the new cross folder based builds of open z wave I knocked together that need to be there for this first so it may be a whilegizmocuz wrote:I have updated the wiki page, started from scratch (latest synology firmware, bootstrap,...)

Merry Christmas!
edit: I may just have a go at building on my NAS directly later and when I have more time look at trying to cover off what dependencies exist in the spk toolchain...looks like the openzwave build process doesn't want to play ball with the spk framework, it's looking for libffi native libraries and not finding the spk based cross folder version. This needs someone more accustomed to spk build than me to get anywhere fast

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
Hi everybody
That's is really great I try now for a month to run domoticz. I have the HP54NL with XPEnology running. I have follow the tutorial with a debian chroot everything is working expect if I close my SSH session then it close also the domoticz server.
I have already added the syno community why could not see the package.
Could we expect a version of the package for HP54NL on XPEnology ?

The Domoticz synology package doesn't support open zwave, only a full build done directly on the NAS I think...

True. Will adapt install notes when installing spk. When you want zwave support you must compile directly on nas.

Is it possible to update domtoicz when I installed a packages from http://steef84.asuscomm.com/sspks/?
When I change the setting to beta, It always says that there is no update but I am using 2.2246 and I know there are newer beta version available.

Hi,
Thank you very much for this package link! I have successfully updated the version of my Domoticz server (2.2246 too) on my DS410J ^^
It's just sad there is no Z-Wave support in those versions
I'm affraid I would be forced to proceed manually...
