Is there any chance that MyDomoAtHome can support the new "Selector" switch so that it will show up in Imperihome also as a multi select switch ?
Or does Imperihome not support Multi Select switches ?

Hi,
I'm new to Domoticz but have recently set it up on an Ubuntu server.
I used Imperihome previously with Vera so naturally, I went straight back to it and it installed very easily with Domoticz.
All my lights work without issue.
However, I previously used Composite security devices in Imperihome that grouped my door sensors (contact sensors) into one device within the app.
I can't seem to do that now.
Domoticz sees these sensors as switches, so Imperihome sees them as switches also. Is this normal for Domoticz or have I done something wrong?
Is there anyway to get Imperihome, by way of MDAH, to recognize these as door sensors?
Having Imperihome working with Domoticz is brilliant, really great work.

You're right! PIR's appear as motion devices and can be added as an individual security sensor widget or associated with the composite security widget but for some reason, door/window sensors cannot. They appear as switches only in imperihome and can't be added as either type.
Might be one for epierre....
EDIT: Slight correction.. you can add the contact sensor as a light switch and then change the icon to something more meaningful but you still cannot add these devices to the composite security sensor.

Yes, when I add the contact switch as a light, I change the type to Contact and the icon changes to something more meaningful, not a light bulb.
I have a few wall mounted tablets running Imperihome but I liked having a tile to show if any doors or windows are open as its useful to know before leaving the house for the day.
It would be great if Epierre could give his 2c on this. But as I said before, Imperihome working with Domoticz is awesome. Great work

Hello, thanks appreciated !
As discussed with raym, I could move some devices from switches to DevLock but I would need to find something that I could detect it to be it. In domoticz, do you use another icon on that switch ?
currently if this is a door/window, if you say in DZ the switch is a door lock, I map it in IH to Door Lock.
IH recognized as a security system those : DevDoor, DevFlood, DevMotion, DevSmoke, DevCO2Alert

Thanks epierre. Yes, as mentioned above, you can use the standard lock sensor widget on this device and it works OK - but no last tripped status yet
.
Does that help?

Hi Epierre,
Thank you for this, I was not aware that changing this to a Door Lock works. I just changed this and the composite switch in IH works now.
It doesn't show last trip time but for me, that isn't a priority. I've attached a screenshot of my domo setup looked before changing them to door locks.

Not that perfect though
. I've been running MDAH for months without a glitch but now, after updating to the latest version the service doesn't start anymore. When stopping the service I get: "Stopping plack server: MyDomoAtHomestart-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 3863: No such process start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 3863: No such process".
Can't figure out what's going on. Any help is appreciated.

For some reason pid file doesn't reflect actual MDAH process pid number. Probably service has been restarted by updater without updating pidfile regarding actuall Pid number. Try to force kill MDAH by hand and use restart script again see if it works

Thanks @Irybak. Force-killing MDAH is not possible, gives the same error. When I do 'ps -ax' I see no running (starman) process. Next I deleted the PID-file and started MDAH by hand but to no avail: same error.
Next I deleted the PID-file and rebooted the RPI: same error. Strange thing is that in both cases a new PID-file gets created so something is going right, except the service doesn't start. Any other options to investigate?
Thanks, Mark

I have the same Problem when I try to stop the service, so it could be the reason why I can not check the devices after new installing.

I reverted back to the previous situation (luckily I had an almost up-to-date image) and MDAH is working again. This proves that it's definitely the update that is causing the trouble. @epierre: any idea what could be going on? I don't dare to update anymore
Another question: is MDAH compatible with Debian-Jessie?
Thanks, Mark
