Domoticz

Hi Madgeni,

I am moving my production domoticz setup from Synology to RPI and one of the steps is to connect Controlicz.
I changed portforwarding target on port 443 to new system, added user and updated profile in Controlicz and started to rediscover devices.

message in logfile: Error: [web:443] Failed authentication attempt, ignoring client request (remote address: 35.176.67.167)

If I manual login from a non local network with a username/password, domoticz ask me for a username / password and if I enter them the same username / password screen pops up again and again. I am pretty sure the username / Password I used are correct because I used copy/paste.

I managed to get one step further by adding 35.176.67.167 to the trusted network in the domoticz settings. With that setting Controlicz can enter the system to discover my devices.

Any clue what I am dong wrong ?

What happens if you do a local https to your domotics ?

it doesn't seem like a Controlicz issue - does anyone have any experience with the Domoticz security model?

You did the right thing whitelisting the Controlicz source IP

If I remove the trusted networks in domoticz and connect using port 443, browser complaints about untrusted certificate but when I continue domoticsz wants a user/password. The user/password for Controlicz (User rights) does not work but my user/password (Admin rights) does ???

Can you double check the password for the account? Controlicz doesn't demand any superior rights, I have an account on my Domoticz which is a user, with enough access to see the room plans, share devices and control devices

Is Controlicz down? In a morning everything works fine, but after I came back from work all my devices are offline. I did not change anything, no upgrades, nothing. Rediscovery not helping. Restarts Alexa and Domoticz too.

apologies - it's back. I did some green/blue testing which failed - lesson learned!

Double checked but only way Controlicz can access my domoticz is to have it on my whitelist. When I have all my other migration stuff done and stable I will revisit. Until then I'll live with the workaround

I've done already ....is there some things change ,sinds today can't change color on milight ...but brightness level work and on/off work but changing color not????
