I ordered 2, they are zwave+ version... And in fact, they specify this is the version that conforms to french regulations. 1st, z-wave not+, alarm sound was not loud enough.

Price is now 59.

I recently bought 2 smoke sensor in The Netherlands from a promotion of eneco, paid 40 euro each.

After adding them to domoticz, I noticed there is a burglar device. Any way to use that for the alarm like the TS wanted?

No that's most likely the tamper switch which triggers if the unit is removed from its base.

As this sensor is battery powered and asleep 99% of the time there's no way to connect to it in order to trigger the siren on demand.

Hello all,
I bought two FGSD-002 thinking that they could be interconnected, and, by the way drivable by jeedom box.
I was hesitant to choose between CHACON 34131 RFXCOM, that does all of these and the fibaro, and the Fibaro ones. The final argument was that z-wave ensure the message is transmitted by aknowledgment...
Finally, i had the surprise i can't stop the alarm using jeedom but worse, i can't hear fire alarm from my bedroom if it came from the garage ! So, i need to buy a siren, and hear plugs to be able to turn off the alarm without loosing hearing.

I guess i 'm going to buy the Chacon 34131 if someone says me that the fire RF message is emitted several times to be sure jeedom gets it, actually as long as the detector rings... that what we can expect from a fire detector...

Is you buy another one then you can configure them to go of both if one of them detects smoke or heat.

The thing with the zwave smoke detectors (I have 6 of them) I think is that they operate from sleep mode. They wake up every now and then to check for smoke and then go back to sleep just to save batteries. When in sleep mode they don't respond to alarm frames in the zwave network and therefore cannot chime-in so to say. I was disappointed by that as well but I do understand why it is. I don't want to have wires to all my detectors to give them power. So you can't have it both ways I guess. So yeah.. extra sirens is probably the way to go.

As i guess, to solve the power dilema, Chacon 34131 has 2 power sources, a 9V battery for smoke detector and siren, and 3 AA batteries for rfx exchange.
I guess it is a good point for security as the detector function will work after the transmissions over.
the bad point is there is no temperature measure. we can't have all. I like the idea to detect temperature anomaly before to detect smoke...
