Hi, I'm only a User and not an expert.
What does it mean?
"Before you start be sure that your webserver is running apache & PHP!!!"
Is this done by Domoticz installation or needs to be done extra? If yes, how?
Also, - step 6: Open the application
How?
Sorry for my stupid questions...

Dear vgr2, Domoticz default installation comes with a webserver but it doest understand PHP, the easiest way for you is probably install the following program ( http://www.usbwebserver.net/nl/ ) on your desktop run de folder that you downloaded from the link provided in de instruction then opening the localhost:8887 and fill in your settings than copy all files including the correctly filled in config.json to your webserver with winSCP and you should see everything up and running if settings are correct!

Dear kniazio, Framb doesn't require PHP because it saves the minimal settings that is has in the localstorage but that dont work on every device because localstorage is not available on every device. So i would tell you again if you dont have PHP installed you cannot save your settings, the probably easiest way for you 2 is follow the same instructions I gave vgr2 or Install PHP on your webserver.

Man.
I have Apache2 + MySql PHP
I have loads of other PHP and MYSQL based projects and they work
I have a running Owncloud which is demanding when it comes to PHP and MySql.
Framb also requires PHP

Dear kniazio, I have made a UPDATE so now you can download your (settings) config.json manualy and then just upload it to root and it should work fine!

If you really want the auto save with php to work I must troubleshoot it correctly and because it works on my system and a Colleague I cant replicate the problem. The only way I could solve it is if you can give me access with teamviever or make a screenshot of your browser console/network tab output.

Gentlemen. Give yourself peace with this.
This guest is running on a server in windows.
Let it run it on a Linux server, test it and then share it.

This happens because your did'nt fill in your username and password of Domoticz, probably because you did'nt use a username and password
for your domoticz and this application needs it. This got nothing to do linux it just runs fine on my HP microserver with XPenology so give me a break.

What I did was

- git clone https://github.com/danielalmering/DomoDash.git TEST ( you can also just download the file and upload to a directory)
- rm config-default.json config.json
- chmod 777 config.json

then it worked for me.

Have it installed on a Synology NAS, with a terminal connection. It is possible that you can do this with a good FTP-client or with Putty

Isn't there supposed to be a help text when you click on the '?' in the config?
How do you add devices? I tried with several of mine, but those didn't work
Make a notice when you save the settings. Now we don't have a way of knowing if saving did work or not.

i was just testing this, as I'm quite happy with the orignal Dashticz
