I think that is for new stable versions.
I looked into my package center and tried an update but it only shows the version (3.8153) which I already use. The beta from jadahls website (beta 3.9390) is not shown.
Therefore I guess I have to manually download and install this package (beta for DSM 6.1 with python).
So the question (unfortunately) still remains

Yes, you need to download the file and do a manual install. Beta versions do not update automatically.

So I just install after download like I did with the first package?
And then all systems settings and configurations remain from previous version?

1. Do a backup from the domoticz-setting page.
2. Install the beta you want to use manually.
3. If the settings get lost, reload the backup in domoticz from the setting page.
4. It might be necessary to restart domoticz after that, you will see if the configs are right on.
More did I never need.

Thanks a lot for your detailed list.
It works great.
I just had to manually copy the dzVents folder into the domoticz folder and after that all works great so far.
Another question to @jumbotroll:
Does this beta (3.9390 with python for DS 214) also already contain the z-wave Central Scene Command Class patch?
Trying to work with that but failed so far and so i just want to make sure the patch is there

It's too bad that I can't get that spk-file any more after an fresh install of my Syno. I need Netcat to send TCP-commands from Domoticz to a relayboard.
The backup I made by copying the files from the directory in @appstore and restoring didn't work.

I have stop build these packages, but have not deleted the Netcat packages.
What Nas do you have and what DSM version do you looking for 5.2 or 6.1?

Bought an new NAS: Synology 718+ (Apollo Lake) with DSM 6.1.7-15284. Hopefully there is still a version of Netcat on your server?

There was never build any Netcat packages for DSM 6.1 (Apollolake).
I have build a package for you to test..
BTW I have no time to do testing or support on these packages

Thanks for fast reply.
Choosed to install the package with version 7.70 but that installed
nmap. No errors during installation.
My scripts uses nc-command and that is not found when I run that in putty.
I am not very fimiliar with Linux so I give it a try later on this week.
Or try a workaround in the virtual Windows machine that I can run on the new DS718.

The nmap package does not support nc command.
The Netcat package does, so why don't you install both packages

Hi there!
Synology has just released the final version of DSM 6.2.
I'm using jadahl stable package with DSM 6.1 for now. How to proceed with this major DSM update? Will I have to upgrade to a beta version of Domoticz after updating DSM? Of course, I do not want to loose all my setting, scripts, zwave association, etc.

If everything working ok with domoticz for DSM6.1, there is no need for update to domoticz DSM6.2 beta.
If you have problems with USB drivers after updating to DSM6.2, you need the domoticz DSM6.2 because synology have updated linux kernel and drivers on some models and USB drivers need to be updated.

Yes, you have to test. I have not yet compiled domoticz DSM 6.2 for all models yet, but I will get there soon
If you give me your NAS model, maybe I can tell you if you need to update.
BTW.. If you update from stable version to beta DSM6.2, the best solution is to take backup of domoticz.db and reinstall domoticz.

DS415+ arch-avoton, and I think you have to update.

Yes, because the beta version have some new folders.
Take backup of database and script you use and uninstall the stable version, then install beta DSM 6.2 version.

Hello Jumbotroll ! I'm very interested in use Domoticz in my Synology. I'm using V 6.2 (last one) and I have a DS215j model (it's a MARVELL Armada 375 88F6720). Please could you compile for this version?
