Domoticz

I installed version 3.0.5877-7 through the package manager. I added http://www.jadahl.com/domoticz_stable/ to my package sources and installed Domoticz on my DS214+ using DSM Beta 6.2. However, the package fails to start. Tried a reboot of my NAS, but still did not help.

Does anyone have a solution for me on how I can get the package to start? Really want to try out Domoticz.

well you probably installed the wrong package.

you say you have a DS214+ with DSM beta 6.2 but you show the link which is the stable 5.2 version.

i think you need to uninstall everything(do areboot to make sure evrything starts up normal)

then just go to this page , download the armadaxp version and install that one
i think the 6.1 version will also run on the 6.2 beta dsm version

maybee Jumbotroll can compile the armadaxp 6.2 version for you.

you could also add this link to the packet manager to get the same result

again i think 6.1 will run on 6.2 beta but not 100%sure

Whoops, I see the link is wrong indeed. Installed the 6.1 version manually and that works.

Now I can figure out how Domoticz works.

I can confirm that DSM 6.1 version should work on DS214+ (armadaxp) because the toolchain and kernel is the same for armadaxp in DSM 6.2 Beta.

You will find that Domoticz is not 100 perfect but you can customize a lot to make it 100% perfect with scripting.

it turns read when it is not seen for a while.

if you turn polling for this device on it will probably be solved
without polling the device needs to report the status either on a regular base(reporting) or on a change base.(if temp changes by a certain degree.)
if the reporting is turned of and you have a temp delta set for lets say 0.5 degrees and that temp never changes with a max of .5 degrees then nothing gets send to domoticz.

ofcourse there could be something wrong with the module itself

check parameter 11 and 12

11 is about forcing to send a report(must be non 0)
12 is about the delta temperature (the change in temperature when a report is send(set to 1 or 2)

Apollolake is updated.

After updating DSM to 6.1.5-15254 Update 1, Domoticz has become unresponsive. I can open Domoticz, when pressing buttons they respond, but the actual devices don't switch on or off. Anyone else experiencing this? I have a DS414 (ArmadaXP).
