Hi Jumbotroll,
installed 8153 stable version on the DS718+(apollolake)
restored a backup from the DS112+ version
aparently USB A was the top one which i got right the first time.
seems to runs without any problems
now with the DS718+ i can run docker and homebridge.
i need homebridge for interfacing my Zwave devices to Homekit.
Great!
I was a little unsure if I had compiled the USB drivers correctly, as this was not tested with this Linux kernel.
Thank you for your feedback.

After careful consideration, I have now made a decision.
I'm just going to update/build stable versions of Domoticz to Synology in the future.
There are often changes to the source code that make the beta versions need to be tested carefully before I can post them, and this requires allot of time I do not have ...
I think that docker or raspberry pi are better suited for beta testing.
Url's for beta versions will eventually be removed from my server, so please follow the update here on the forum or on my website for future url's.
Dear Sir,
What about other packages you made in the past? I think you served me a package for Netcat V 0.7.1 for DSM 5.2-5967 in the Synocommunity by adding an entry in Packagecenter, Settings, Packagesources. (
http://www.jadahl.com/synology/)
It's too bad that I can't get that spk-file any more after an fresh install of my Syno. I need Netcat to send TCP-commands from Domoticz to a relayboard.
The backup I made by copying the files from the directory in @appstore and restoring didn't work.
Is it still possible to get it elsewhere?
Thanks in advance.

I have stop build these packages, but have not deleted the Netcat packages.
What Nas do you have and what DSM version do you looking for 5.2 or 6.1?
Maybe there is a Netcat on my server

Thanks again.
since i noticed you also made the stable version(8153)and i was running that same version on my DS112+ i figured better save then sorry.
I have send you a donation(should have done that a long time ago) because you are making it easy for us synology users.
Also the timeouts i had on the DS112+ are a lot less(i suspected this came from the USB port and not the Zwave signal since that is very strong)
Thanks again.

Hello everybody
I have searched everywhere, but maybe not in the right place.
For a Synology DS212, I have tried to change the location of the DZ log.
Usually it's done by modyfying the domoticz.sh script.
But i was unable to find it.
Do yo know how to change the dz log from ...domoticz/var/ to xx/yy/zz ?
Thanks for your help.
regards

Hello Jumbotroll
I may have been not clear.
I know that the logfile is i located in /var/packages/domoticz/scripts
What i would like to do, it's to change the location of the logfile
In domotics.sh you have these lines
USERNAME=pi
DAEMON=/home/$USERNAME/domoticz/$NAME
#DAEMON_ARGS="-daemon -www 8080 -log /tmp/domoticz.txt"
#DAEMON_ARGS="-daemon -www 8080 -syslog"
DAEMON_ARGS="-daemon -www 8080"
PIDFILE=/var/run/$NAME.pid
SCRIPTNAME=/etc/init.d/$NAME
I want to change the parameter -log (/tmp/domoticz.txt) of the line #DAEMON_ARGS="-daemon -www 8080 -log /tmp/domoticz.txt"
to write the log somewhere else.
but I haven't found the file domoticz.sh to modify this parameter.
How can I do that ?
Thanks for your help.

There is no domoticz.sh in use on synology
In the
start-stop-status script you can change the location for the log file.
It's located in:
/var/packages/domoticz/scripts
Edit start-stop-status script and then stop/start domoticz from package center.
# Package
PACKAGE="domoticz"
DNAME="Domoticz"
# Others
INSTALL_DIR="/usr/local/${PACKAGE}"
PATH="${INSTALL_DIR}/bin:${PATH}"
RUNAS="root"
#USER="domoticz"
DOMOTICZ="${INSTALL_DIR}/bin/domoticz"
WWWROOT="${INSTALL_DIR}/www/"
PID_FILE="${INSTALL_DIR}/var/domoticz.pid"
LOGFILE="${INSTALL_DIR}/var/domoticz.log"
#LOGFILE="/volumeUSB1/domoticz.log"
DB_FILE="${INSTALL_DIR}/var/domoticz.db"
#DB_FILE="/volumeUSB1/domoticz.db"
PORT="8084"

There is no new kernel or toolchain for DSM6.2.
You can use DSM6.1 version.
