I think DS718+ will use arch-denverton and kernel 4.4.15, then the USB serial drivers will not be compatible with DS716+II.
I will check out the new kernel source code and toolchain and compile a test version when someone want to test.

I have build some test version for the new Synology NAS.
Compiled for arch-apollolake, arch-denverton and arch-rtd1296.
This test versions will be found under beta section.

now i only have to buy that ds718+

strange that the ds718+ is available and the ds716+(which is 2 years old) still gets no discount.

proably the minute i buy the 718+ the 716+II will be discounted

I managed to install Domoticz adding http://www.jadahl.com/domoticz_stable/ into the synlogy package center.
but it doesn't start and i have no error message.
I have a Synology EDS14 can you help me ?

What DSM version du you have installed on this device?
What version of domoticz did you install? Armada370 ?
Log in to your NAS with telnet or ssh and type: uname -a
write the output here.

It's the latest for the device : DSM 6.0.3-8754 Update 4
i have tried with Armada370 and with adding the repository

You have the right version of my package, compiled with arch-armada370 and it should work.
It's working on another NAS with armada370, so why this is not working on your device I don't understand.
Maybe your device not have enough memory to run domoticz, just a speculation....
EDS14 only have 512MB memory.

Maybe it's also because EDS14 has no internal drive ? i use a 64Gb SDcard

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with EDS14, so I do not have much to contribute with to this model. It works with Raspberry Pi and it also uses sd card.

I have installed the lates beta 8440 for the ds214 but all my buttons on the web browser page are strange it put all buttons to the same place and the temperature page it comes with domoticz offline.

Hi Jumbotroll,

installed 8153 stable version on the DS718+(apollolake)
restored a backup from the DS112+ version
aparently USB A was the top one which i got right the first time.

seems to runs without any problems

now with the DS718+ i can run docker and homebridge.

i need homebridge for interfacing my Zwave devices to Homekit.
