Sensative strips

Post by Gabe »

Hi everybody

I bought the sensative strips, but it looks Domoticz non support it.

I can inclusde it in Domoticz, but under Hardware I found follow:

Unknown: id=019a Unknown: type=0003, id=0003

Unfortunately the strip will also not give the status to the controller.

Can anybody help me?

Thx

Then you posted in the wrong forum section, this is for "MySensors.org"

Moving this topic

Does the node send an On or Off ? (it does not matter if it is not correctly recognized)

Also please state your domoticz version, as i see in the beta version it is available
updating to the beta, then excluding the node, and including it again should get you there

I'm interested in this strip, could you tel me what kind of zwave controller you use?
I'm using a aeotec stick, not z-wave plus but normal z-wave.

Hello,

I have bought the Sensative Strips (http://www.sensative.com/strips.html) and unfortunately it doesn't work with Domoticz :(
When I add Strips to my Z-wave network then I see in Domoticz as "unknown" (ID 0x0000; Type 0x0000).

I have tested with different version of Domoticz, i.e. v3.5700 (the newest beta version) and v3.4834 (the newest stable version). For both I have "unknown".

Could you provide me the valid version of Domoticz with Sensative Strips is working fine or some instruction what should I do in order to Strips will work.
Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Konrad

Konrad
I think it is this one in the manufacturer_specific.xml

Code: Select all

<Manufacturer id="019a" name="Sensative">
<Product type="0003" id="0003" name="Strips" config="sensative/strips.xml" />
There is a file in /Config/sensative/strips.xml

With (ID 0x0000; Type 0x0000), I think the inclusion went wrong

- Picture your Node list.
- Catch that part from your zwcfg_0xzzzzzzz.xml file and show as Code insert

Ok.
Remove this part from zwcfg_0xzzzzzzz.xml
Make sure the device is awaken
Restart OpenZwave (disable/enable your stick)
Catch the log from Domoticz

Interesting, I was ready to place an order for couple of these but if they die that fast it's a no-show then for me. Remember that they say that the battery should least for several years. Also, is it really impossible to change the battery! What a waste then!! What are Sensative saying?

In the web I read
"Up to 10 year battery life - no more changing batteries"
Which is the awake interval in the config? If you set 30 min battery life is shorter (but 6 months is a very short time), but if you have set 24 hours (default) this could be a fault of the device.

I have also one installed on a door but I don't get it to work...
Inclusion works, pops up in the "Node list", but impossible to let it work.
Tried to change the "Notification Type" but without result, it remains on "Notification Report" (also after waking up the strip with the magnet), not sure changing the report tupe would do anything...
communication seems not be working.
Anyone who has this device working?

Thx!
