Rfxcom - smartPlug ?

Hi,
Is there a Rfxcom based SmartPlug available? (something like zwave TKB TZ88e)

(i can't find a plug in the Rfxcom guide)

UK? EU? If UK then Lightwaverf do some nice ones that can also be found fairly cheap. They also come with a little 433mhz remote that can be used for other tasks.

@blackdog65 - did you mean this https://www.amazon.co.uk/LightwaveRF-Wi ... averf+plug ? Do you know if these would only indicate if a device comes On or goes Off via Rfxcom (using domoticz) ? (and may not provide the watts consumed by that device something which zwave smart-plug's TKB TZ88e would do)

Also do any of these other european countries smart-plug - do they have a UK wall-plug adapters? or they may still work with a travel adapter?

Yes those are the Lightwave sockets he meant. But you should be aware that they are one-way only, i.e. Domoticz (via an RFXCom transceiver) can send an on or off command to them and they will switch accordingly, but there is no status feedback from them. So if for some reason they don't receive the signal and don't switch, Domoticz is unaware of this and simply assumes they have.

In the same way they don't measure the power consumption through them and wouldn't be able to report it anyway.

I believe that most of the simple sockets and switches on the market work like this. The zwave protocol is two-way though but more expensive and in any case zwave isn't supported by the RFxcom transceiver anyway.

My requirement in regards to the lightwave sockets is One-way. I don't intend to send any message to those sockets from my end. When a device, say Microwave is switched-on/off, will it report to me via domoticz that the device is On or Off?

Lightwave is one way only from Domoticz to the switch, there is no feedback from the Lightwave device as it its actual state, Domoticz has to assume that the command was sent successfully, if you turn the switch on/off locally then nothing is sent back to Domoticz

Quite so.
As far as I know, this is the case for most, if not all, 433mhz hardware. To get a confirmation response you need to go down the Z-Wave route.

I personally use a lot of LWRF but only for jobs where I can see the result. For out of sight or more critical stuff... only Z-Wave can be trusted to turn my boiler on and off

Same for me.... "cheap" 433Mhz modules when it's not critical (If the coffee maker is not turned on on time in the morning, only my wife will be unhappy ....) Zwave when more confidence is needed !
