Representing security zone tamper for Comfort Alarm System

Post by adec »

I am currently developing the hardware classes required to integrate Domoticz with the Cytech Comfort Home Automation & Security System. I've already represented the Comfort security zones as basic switches in Domoticz. I then modify the switch configuration in the Domoticz UI to the correct type for the zone (e.g. zones with PIR sensors are configured as motion sensors).

However, I'd also like to represent the full zone status which includes tamper status:

- Off
- On
- Open Circuit (Tamper)
- Closed Circuit (Tamper)

What is the recommended way of representing these? Is there a de facto standard used by other integrations? Am I best just creating additional switches to represent the tamper status of each zone?

Regards,

Adrian.
