[SUGGESTION] Barometric pressure formats

Post by lagus »

Hi all!

I was not able to access the tracker.php - Is it down?

Summary:
Could additional barometric pressure formats be implemented. - (Especially mBAR format?)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal_(u ... ibar_units

Reason (story):
I'm updating my barometric pressure for a TEMP;HUM;HUM_STAT;BAR;BAR_FOR sensor.
I'we been pushing the values over JSON from node-red with:
http://192.168.XX.XX:8080/json.htm?type ... meter}}};0
It works, and Domoticz receives the values.
But it seems like Domoticz only measures barometric pressure in hPA and an option for mBAR is not available.

Expected outcome:
1. Choose one general pressure format to be applied for all barometric pressure sensors in Setups > Settings > Meters/Counters
2. For every barometric pressure: Edit > Choose sensor reporting Value. - Reporting value is then re-calculated to the pre-chosen format in step 1.

Oh lol :D I also didn't know that it is the same but also this page confirms that Hectopascal is the same as Millibar https://calculate.plus/en/convert/1010/ ... o/millibar So I guess you are right and I have to look this up more closely and inform me about that.

Hmm but maybe it would be nice to still to allow the value to either be Hectopascal (hPa) or Millibar (mbar), but maybe this is not possible.
