Z-Uno Do it yourself

Post by juankar »

Does anybody used this DIY device in Domoticz? It looks like an interesting device to practice with ZWave hardware...

60 euro  well at least it's for sale, cuz the next link is only 30 euro US version preorder only (at the moment of writing)

http://ziy.io

edit: ok ziy.io one is zwave not zwave+, that would explain the price difference

Also some guys here are experimenting with:

There was a thread some days ago about cheap chinese zwave products, one of the suppliers that was listed in the post sold a zwave module (15$) with some gpios you could connect to different hardware.

Yes, tried Z-Uno already - testing since some months.

Is working in general, OZW have an issue with new MultiChannel Associaltion, that's why for a multisensor will be reported in OZW only foirst channel.
If device will be polled - all is ok.

You can create any sensor (mixed, up to 10 channels or mixed with switches) - so it is a nice device for special designs.

If any questions about the device you can post here, I will try to answer.

BTW: ZIY device is "on hold" - will not be ready in next time (see their web site)
