P1 dongle BeNext how to use?

Post by jenssen »

Hello,

I am new into Domoticz, I want to use this dongle to read the energy and gas meter. It is not possible to choose this device from the hardware device list, I only see a P1 smart meter USB and P1 smart meter LAN. According to the manual, it is possible to read out via command class, but I do not know how to do this, is this via a script? I do see some devices, after I added the Z-wave unit to Domoticz, but the result is some power meter (four), which give all the same value........

According to the manuel of the P1 dongle, the information below should be used, but how? How can I read out this information?

COMMAND_CLASS_MULTI_CHANNEL_V3
The P1 to Z-Wave has 3 channels, all channels use the Meter V4 command class.
Zie voor meer informatie de § METER_V4
- Channel 1: Energy normal pricing
- Channel 2: Energy low pricing
- Channel 3: Gas

Thanks in advance

MMM..
Think you can better buy a P1 usb....[ Cheaper ]

Then is the Benext not in the list of OpenZwave...

Hello,

THanks for your reply, but USB is just what I try to avoid....the dongle will be powered by the intelligent metre, so I do not need additional power resources (which I do not have within close distance from the metre), I also so not want an extra Raspberry Pi to connect to.

So any help on this would be really appreciated, or is it possible to add an other wireless dongle/cable convertor which will work?

Thanks
