Choose between domoticz and desktop

I installed domoticz ,and it is working fine.It start with boot.
Now i like to do ( https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Omnik_Solar_Inverter)installing datalogger.
How do i get in to desktop mode.
Because i must do :
Git clone the source with git clone https://github.com/Woutrrr/Omnik-Data-Logger.git
Copy the config-org.cfg to config.cfg
Change the settings in config.cfg (add your serial# and IP of inverter). Also add the code shown below.
Test your settings with python LiveStats.py, when succesfull you should see data from your inverter

You do not need a desktop to do that but a terminal. And it seems (since you do not have a desktop and looking at your profile) that you are using a pi.
Try a terminal session through ssh. For Pi
