Hi guys,
I had my 1st ESP8266 working great but I think I corrupted the firmware during a power change (maybe).
Anyway, I re-flashed... no AP no GUI (blue light off 10s on 5s)
over flashed with nodemcu... that worked and showed as an AP on my tablet.
re-flashed ESPEasy ... no AP no GUI (blue light off 10s on 5s)
over flashed with a blank bin
re-flashed ESPEasy ... no AP no GUI (blue light off 10s on 5s)
Now I'm stuck
Any ideas?
Sean

Re: Reflash fails to connect
I think you better post this on an ESP/Espressiff forum.

Yeah, I agree. Most of the same people from here are on http://www.esp8266.nu/forum/ which I've just joined.SweetPants wrote:I think you better post this on an ESP/Espressiff forum.
I'll Google Espressiff and try there
Thanks

Re: Reflash fails to connect
For those with a similar issue.
It appears that ESPEasy locates its wifi info near the end of the memory block so overwriting may not cover it.
The download tool from Espressif is used in the following guide
http://www.pratikpanda.com/completely-f ... sh-memory/
which involves flashing 4 1Mb blank .bin files in order to fully blank all 4Mb of space.
This done... ESPEasy flases and works again 1st attempt
