I bought a Fibaro Shutter 2 switch a couple of months ago and installed it behind the Jalousie 5045 switch controlling the shutters in the bedroom using a wiring diagram for the switch (attached below). Since there was not a neutral going into the switch box I tapped neutral from the light switch which was directly above the shutter switch. All was fine for a few weeks. Then my wife turned on the light and the Fibaro unit blew up. Its now a piece of charcoal. My question is: Does the Fibaro unit require a connection to neutral to operate?
Before I buy another unit I want to make sure I know how to install it safely. I've learned the hard way that what may make sense to me is not always correct.

Re: Fiber Shutter 2 installation with Jalousie 5045 switch
So how exactly did you connect the Fibaro as the attached is not for a Fibaro shutter switch?
You say you connected a Neutral from a light switch. Normally there is no Neutral connected to a light switch, so was it just available in the box the light switch is located?
