True, but when I receive a notification by email or Prowl that there is no data received from the easy httpd server, that would be great. That way I would know to take the display off the wall for a few seconds to reset it. Is this something you could build into Domoticz you think?

I know, but taking the power of the Nefit adapter i can do from domoticz, so practically anytime/anywhere I want, or maybe detect it is going wrong and reset it automatically.
Great idea! I am going to do the same to be able to reset when not at home!

How are you going to do this? Taking the power down from the whole Nefit or are you using a relais which you can switch using Domoticz?

I have an old Nefit with a Nefit Easy connect adapter powered by a separate power supply. If you take the power from the adapter the Nefit easy also is cut from the power.

yep, works great. Alternative would be a relay to switch the thermostat off/on

Just enabled the Nefit again to test stability an see if I do not get thermostat disconnects anymore and if that does occur at least I can rest my easy remotely thanks to sweet pants his idea! My easy without domoticz enabled as been running for 18 days without connectivity issues which for me proves that it is definitively not network related.

Lets see if the changes from in polling intervals have made it better I hope so!

The connection is still stable since the new polling intervals (May 11). So far looking good

Hi, does anyone else have the issue that the button (ingestelde temperatuur) disappears after a couple of seconds on the favourite pages?

I dont, but i would think it will disappear in 10 seconds after you refresh.... if something goes wrong
For example (on your desktop), open the domoticz web gui, goto settings, set your dashboard style to 'mobile'
Refresh the dashboard
But here (version #5139+) no problem
The 'Ingestelde temperature' thats the setpoint device correct?

Error: REQUEST_TIMEOUT
at null.<anonymous> (/usr/local/lib/node_modules/nefit-easy-http-server/node_modules/nefit-easy-commands/node_modules/nefit-easy-core/lib/index.js:123:23)
at Timer.listOnTimeout (timers.js:89:15)

I got an timeout again using the 5116 version. this was after a few days of perfect connection. i cant imagine that it is domoticz .. prolly just the nefit easy server..? isnthere any way of debugging this ?

edit: i had the timout and unlugged and plugged my nefit easy from the wall... them suddenly my mefit easy server got data again. it seems like it hangs of somesort or the buffer that is full..

When you have the timeout, try the following command from the easy-cli
easy status
If you get a timeout again or no data, it's not the http-server, this command directly communicates with the backend

I also get the idea that it is something in the easy server... but the above command should give some light

That's not completely true, easy status initiates a complete new session to the Bosch backend, so it can result in a correct reading while the http server is not working.

Since the whole protocol has been decoded by reverse engineering it's most likely some sort of deadlock will occur on the http server.

Hello. To answer the first question. Yes i created an account just because of this topic. And yes i made a typo creating the account :)
Having that settled.

I reinstalled domoticz from scrats because the SD card got messed up. I got most things working again and wanted to get the Nefit thing working also. I noticed a new Node-Red function for nefit. I managed to get that installed and working but it never seems to arrive at domoticz.

I enabled debugging in Node-Red and it gives me the following:
5/17/2016, 9:31:51 PMfa4becdd.02b398domoticz/in : msg : Object{ "topic": "domoticz/in", "payload": { "idx": 37, "nvalue": 0, "svalue": "21.1" }, "_msgid": "1269637c.ed969d" }

In domoticz the room temperature has IDX of 37. But it does not seem to arrive there. I` m probably missing something simpel but essential. Hope anyone has tips :)

You need to enable the MQTT hardware in Domoticz or you can use Domoticz 'native' easy support using the easy http server.

Using Domoticz v3.5135 I just noticed that I haven't had any reading since yesterday morning. I'm at work and can't get the thermostat from the wall from here :)

Code: Select all

2016-05-18 07:44:41.831 Error: NefitEasy: Request Timeout !
Anything I can do from remote to get it back to work? The easy-httpd server is still running correctly.

And: wouldn't it be nice when I had a notice / message that there weren't any readings received ;) ?

@Gizmocuz: I can't get this to work with Monit. Will this be something you can trap within Domoticz ?

Sure the http server is still running.
Have you also tried to request a status directly from the http server? What was the response ? 'Timeout' ?
At that time, did you try the above suggested command to check if its not only the http server?
And if you had a notification... you still cant reach your thermostat

The command "easy status" isn't recognized on my Synology. I have to use something like "easy-server ....." I think, but I don't know what the exact command should be like.

True, I wouldn't be able to reach it from here. But the problem is since yesterdaymorning, so I could have taken the thermostat from the wall yesterday after work IF I would have known there was a problem ;) Hey, can't blame a guy for trying :D

Edit: My Nefit Easy app on my iPhone can't connect either, so it shouldn't be the easy-server. True?

Edit 2: what if I use a Fibaro Wall Plug for my Nefit and I switch it off for a few seconds and then back on again whenever there is a problem with the connection: shouldn't that give me the same result as taking the thermostat off the wall for a few seconds?

Edit1: Correct, looks like your thermostat is offline (for whatever reason) (can not be reached)
Edit2: Better use the method proposed by sweetpants above (relay between thermostat)

Bdw. My thermostat is still up and running

Wish I knew how. I'm not that handy with making such solutions. If there is a how-to somewhere?

The problem with the thermostat is once in a few weeks. Too bad it happened although the poll interval was lowered in one of the latest Beta's, right?
