XEOMA: The Ultimate NVR with Domoticz intergration [Paid :(]

Post by korniza »

I come back to the community with a real NVR that runs on ARM!
I tested on raspberry 2, banana pi 1, odroid U3, odroid XU4 and worked for me. As you can understand for 8 cameras, odroid XU4 was the board that was working decend.
XEOMA ( http://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/ ) has the tools to give a real NVR enviroment with so much tools! The only problem is that it required paid lisence for full plugins. On the other hand you can use it as demo for 4 hours everytime (it reset settings) and take the leaf of faith (as I did) and purchase the full version.
HTTP Request Sender module can be used to trigger a virtual device on domoticz!
Application Runner module can give more complex senarios!
As NVR is a state of the art (really is hard to find that something is missing). It runs on windows, linux, ARM as server/client. Also there is android/iphone client for remote connection. it supports RTSP protocol (even on ARM)!

Hello,
I am also interested in Xeoma. And I have some question for you.
1-Have you installed Xeoma and Domoticz Raspberry Pi on the same or two different?
2- The motion detection on Raspberry Pi is not too slow? (Image analysis and sending a Requet HTTP to turn on lights, for example)

Hi,
I use Xeoma and domoticz on a odroid XU4 which has 8 cores and 2 GB (i do not remember right now the exact ammount) of RAM.
latency for trigger the domoticz defends from a lot of things, as camera latency between xeoma and cameras. on the other hand also depends from the moving object. some of them you can fine tune as you can have a lower resolution or even try RTSP protocol (much faster) for using cameras as motion sensors
perosonal I have wireless cameras, so the delay is bigger but still I live with that.

They installed seperated. they communicated using on XEOMA Http Request Sender. I advice if you use odroid XU4 to get also the Cloud Shell case which enables SATA HDD installation and as prizes on SDD have been gone cheaper, best way to save is to store everything on SSD (exlude /boot which still required to be installed on sd card).
