You need NodeJS 4 or up so if your node -v says 0.10 it will not work.

After Two nights of very little sleep i finale managed to connect my nefit easy to Domoticz using pepijn's flow in node red. Thans very much and compliments for the great work.

Main problem was the scattering of instructions all over 18 pages of this post :cry: . It definitely does not do justice to your work. When I have more time, my contribution will be a comprehensive instruction within one message. To be continued..

HI, since I have the nefit Domoticz integration running I sometimes loose the connection to my easy thermostat both from the Nefit app and from Domoticz. This happens every 2-3 weeks (now 3 times) Restarting the easy thermostat (taking it off the wall for a couple of seconds solves the issue. It looks like either the server denies the connection or the easy thermostat looses its connection.

Anyone else have the same experience?

Are you using the easy server with the native domoticz implementation ?

I am experiencing same issue as Marcel: Running easy-server on separate RPI2. Nefit Easy thermostat seems to be hanging every 1 to 2 days, also no longer accessible through native app. Have to restart it by removing it from wall, then everything works fine again.

No issues here, I run (my) Node red solution but also the native Domoticz integration. We also use the Nefit app

Worked fine here too for a while, but since about a month the thermostat is not accepting requests (timeout) every few days. It functions by hand, but is inaccessible though Internet (native app) and local network (it's not Internet connection related). I checked but the device does keep saying it is connected to WiFi and Internet, just can not access it. Only solution is to, like I said, restart the thermostate by taking it off dock.

Because of this issue I have removed the software today unfortunately.

I am getting the feeling the thermostat blocks incoming requests at a certain point. Perhaps a new firmware version? (or old one ;)

@Marcel.

I had the same problem. One of the more recent version solved the time-out issue. Please make sure you have the most recent version of the Nefit http server daemon. I have version 2.1.0, which is the latest version

Code: Select all

./easy-server -v

@Blaah, sorry to say but you could have saved yourself a lot of time by using the native Nefit implementation of Domoticz.

You do need to install the nefit-easy-http-server daemon, which you can find overhere ; https://github.com/robertklep/nefit-easy-http-server

No issues here, using both Domoticz (native) integration and Nefit App without any issues. Had some problems in the beginning and contacted Nefit about loosing connection too, but this was caused by bad mounting of the thermostat on the groundplate. They also had some backend (scaling) problems, but since last two months, it works great.

Just tried to install the nefit http server and starting to use the native support, but this completely messed up my plugwise setup. Had to reinstall a previous image and a database restoration. I will keep the node-red version for now.

For those who use the Clock Mode switch to control their Nefit and want dedicated icons for the switch I created this custom icon set:

@Holland,

Thanks for your reply. I am running 2.1.0 and latest Beta release. Somehow it looks like Nefit is blocking me occasionally because also their iOS app cannot connect to the thermostat. Internet in my house is very stable and Thermostat seems to have WIFI connection to the outside world. I also found that it occurs (more) after setting the temp from Domoticz. Maybe there is something in there that cause it to decline the connection afterwords. It is very hard to debug as it is not occurring very frequently. Because more users have the issue I am led to believe that it is something we do different....
