Hi guys,
I've setup a couple of new configs for Z-Wave devices which didn't appear in manufacturer_specific.xml. I've tested them and they work well. What I don't quite understand is do I submit a git request for these changes to Domoticz or openzwave or both? Domoticz has its own copy of this file and associated device config but does it copy this from the openzwave installation at build time or is it maintained separately?
Also, as an aside, following the linux install instructions I see this:
ln -s open-zwave open-zwave-read-only
What is the read only directory for?
Thanks in advance.

Submit them to OpenZwave.
Domoticz includes their releases.

Re: RE: Re: Integrating new device config changes
Ok thanks. But as I build from source, OZ changes will only apply if I update OZ first, right? I think this is correct but config changes appear to be different. Ie, DZ (it seems) will update its version of manufacture_specific.XML even I don't update OZ first.Domosapiens wrote:Submit them to OpenZwave.

Just confirming my understanding...
