How is it doing recovering from your AVR dropping off the network and coming back?

Looks good, you should be able to setup Zone 2 now if you like..

Look at the GeoFencing apps, if you have decent GPS coverage in your house it works better.. but I use a combination of Geofencing, Pinging and each of our devices to decide if the house is really empty or not.. its not perfect but Im working on it.

Are you using Zwave? I wonder if something like a Z-Wave lamp module with load sensing might give you the ability to power on/off.

Looks like your running a KodiPlayer on a RPi, you might take a hard look at the AndroidTV Nexus Player, its a great lil Kodi box and you can root it.. I got mine for like $50 and use a OTG Ethernet.. you get android app support and thats really nice.. I run plex and the native launcher but you can replace the google launcher with Kodi and go right into it.. comes with a bluetooth remote and voice search.

Ive been trying to get the Domoticz Android apps to take on the AndroidTV UI.. no love so far but I might just do it my self
I dont have a second zone in use :)
Most of the time GPS is off, and still have the dead battery problem haha...

I dont use Zwave but mayb in the future, only use KiKa, but there is no check if it receive the message from domoticz so its a bit hard to check sometimes.

Sounds like a nice little box, i have a ambi-light setup runing of the main kodi RPi so its a bit hard to do on a android box, if it is possible.

I would like to see a Yatze -> Domoticz intergration :D allot of switching between those two apps....

try using something like this: https://github.com/nayrnet/domoticz-scr ... ice_tv.lua

but I'll tweak it so it dont default to the first one, it will cause a bit of a ui issue but meh

I added an extra check to make sure the old connection was cleared out, hopefully prevent that EPIPE fault.. try updating.

also changed the behavior of mode selector, but you'll need to run 'npm install node-domoticz-mqtt' inside your HTC folder to get an updated version of that too.

My wife is happy with me haha

Did the update's
I think the rescan is not working proppertlty

AVR CONNECTION CLOSED! try reconnect every 30s
UNKNOWN ERROR: TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'setTimeout'
The bigger problem is that every 5 minuts he chances the input to the "level10" selecter of the audio modes.
I did make a dummy selecter with a code what the vsx does not reconize...

Code: Select all

// Domoticz Audio Mode Selector - LEVEL : [MODE, NAME]
var modes = {
        10 : [ '9999', 'Dummy' ],
        20 : [ '0009', 'Stereo' ],
        30 : [ '0112', 'Ext. Stereo' ],
        40 : [ '0012', 'ProLogic' ],
        50 : [ '0151', 'Auto Level Control' ],
Not a very nice fix but it works for now.

ok, lets try again.. do another update and see if it reconnects correctly.

also think I fixed it so you dont need a dummy mode @ level 10..

Almost i think... At now there is no control possible, it drops its connection by itself.
And its loops badly

Damn programming and dislexia :ugeek: Good job!

it looks like its waiting for it to come back.. when you turned it back on it did not go back to a good state within a min?

wait until everything has settled down after starting the service before pulling the plug to your AVR

nope no connection posibble

not from domoticz and not from VSX. Looks likes it is dropping its connection after he was connected.

Be back in a short time wife and child just got home ;)

Last state is:
The logging is not looping so badly as a the update before.

I just switched my config back to TCP Connection and it connects fine.. give your Pioneer a good hard reboot, then do a 'git pull' and give it another shot.

ok lets see if this fixes it, try updating again.. I added a bit more error handling.. had never seen EHOSTUNREACH before and I suspect I know what was failing the previous fix.

Overall I think this is a more graceful way of handling the Pioneer loosing network, so I am really keen on getting it to re-connect properly all on its own.
