My advice and experience: forget the two above: both using a special "gateway", which handles the communications with their own device. It would be hard to add new, 3rd party devices because of this. So I suggest you the z-wave way: a USB stick costs less than a gateway, and you can find many z-wave devices. They are not cheap, though.

Have no experience with Zwave. Have Philips Hue bridge and RFXTrx433e with KlikAanKlikUit (though also known as LightwaveRF or CoCu).

FSxx is also known as HomeEasy stuff in Holland. Is 433 Mhz frequency.

KlikAanKlikUit is working great, biggest disadvantage to Zwave it doesn't reports its current status back. So if thats needed jump into Zwave with Fibaro named devices. Else Rfxtrx433e ttansciever gateway (around 110euro) is needed.

Grtz,
Stephan
