HomeEasy light switches stopped working
Hello all,
I have recently moved house and reinstalled my HomeEasy HE107 light switches. These worked perfectly before the move but for some reason have stopped responding in the new house. They will not pair with either the RFXCOM or the original HE remote. The existing switches in domoticz also do nothing now. To further confuse matters, it is only the light switches that have stopped responding. The plug in switches I use on lamps work fine as do the temp sensors and electricity monitor. I am completely stuck and really don't want to have to pay out for LightwaveRF switches at £30 a pop!

My new he107's won't pair with remote or rflink either?!
Press the light switch button 6 times and the led flashes rapidly but the ceiling light doesn't fade up and down as per manual?!

I've been talking to Byron Support, and so far all they have suggested is to reset the switches and hold down the remote button for longer when pairing. Neither of these work.

Lol that's what they told me and to same effect. None.
What I've done in the end is to flash an arduino with code found on the web and used it pair the switch..

Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
Hi All
I am new to the all this home automation and installed Domoticz.
I have configured the Hardware of the RFXCOM receiver but I cant seem to pair any of my light switches. I also have Home Easy HE107 around my whole home and would like this setup if possible.
As I am a newbie please be gentle as my understanding is not that vast as of yet
regards
Vish

Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
What procedure are you following to pair the switches?
Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
Hi
Well on the Console Click the Switches Tab, Then Press Learn but only press that once I put the HE107 in pairing/learning mode
hope that is correct

Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
The learn is to learn a command from a remote. Basically it will listen for a transmitted 'on' command and repeat that to activate the light switch. If you want the switch to only be controlled by domoticz then you need to select manual mode on the left hand side. Choose the protocol (I think ac) and choose a random code. Put the he107 into pairing mode and press test on domoticz. This should work.

Mate that's perfect now for the snag if they are dimmers can they be setup and controlled in a similar fashion

Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
Yes you just set the switch type to dimmer instead of on/off

Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
Hi. I've just bought an HE107 dimmer. I can't get the thing to pair either with random code in Domoticz (RFXCOMM) using AC protocol or using a remote (HE312Wv2).
I have lots of other HomeEasy devices in my system, so I know how to set this part up in Domoticz.
The remote isn't officially supported (probably it is newer than the HE107).
Wondering if there is only a restricted range of codes supported within the AC protocol maybe? Would anyone with this working bee able to tell me (roughly' what code ranges work OK in their set-up?). Stabbing in the dark (literally) here.
Cheers.

Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
I have to say the pricing on the HomeEasy range is VERY attractive.
However, from what I can see they only support old school GLS/incadescent and (maybe) halogen bulbs.
Any chance these could be made to work with CFL or LED?
Cheers

Re: HomeEasy light switches stopped working
Hi, I purchased some HE107s. However when I wire them, a small resistor burns out.
Tried a couple of units now and reversed the live and load just in case, but the same effect.
Any pointers here? The supplier can't help and homeeasy/Byron website has gone!!
Thanks,
James
