I'm looking to upgrade my heating control and am struggling to find the right bits to glue together with domoticz to get the results I want.
My setup is currently:
Kitchen: 2 electric underfloor heating circuits, one controlled with a programmable wired air temp thermostat the other controlled with a programmable wireless thermostat with air temp and (I think) an underfloor sensor
Bathroom: electric underfloor heating circuit controlled with an programmable wired thermostat with (I think) an underfloor sensor.
Rest of house: radiators connected to combi boiler and wireless thermostat
What I'd like is to have 3 zones with wireless thermostats controlling each zone but be able to handle the programming centrally. Any missing functionality from domoticz I'll be happy to add myself as that's part of the fun for me. My aim is to be able to be much smarter about using the underfloor heating with a combination of tweaking, outside air temp and presence detection.
So far I've been looking at z-wave thermostats, for example the secure SEC_SRT322/Horstmann HRT-4B, but am not sure if I might be missing something or might be going down a very painful road.
So my question is, am I going down the right path or are there better alternatives or approaches?
