Updating Domoticz via GUI - non-Pi

Post by raym »

I run Domoticz on Ubuntu - built from source. I'd love to be able to update to the latest betas via the GUI. Am I right that this only works for Pi? The feature has never worked for me so I'm assuming that's the case.

Is there any plans to include this some time in the near future?

Thanks.

Hi raym...

Cant search right noe, but as i recall correctly in september or october there are some postings about upgrading when build from source.

A question back, have you considered build from beta source?

Cant tell exactly because only running stables on a pi.

Thanks for the reply. No issues for me in doing that. I'm just curious if the "Setup > Check for updates" feature is supposed to work on non-Pi systems too.

Thanks.

Yes it will be supported in the future (don't ask when). Only not for builds from source but there will be other platforms (like Ubuntu) support
