Hi all,
Struggling with a module that I include and exclude regularly (Qubino ZMNHND1), the node id is always incremented even if this device is actually the highest id one.
I only have two zwave modules, first with id 2 (id 1 is the controller) and second with id 7. I'd like it to have id 3 and next module to have id 4.
It seems that zwave configuration and parameters are kept inside the controller and not really modifiable through any file from Config directory.
So is there way to change Node Id value without having to reset controller ?
Regards

no the only way to reset node-id is to reset the controller... Every time you include/exclude it will increase, thats how it is.
It really should have no impact if your first device is 1 and your second is 42, node id's are only used internally and then they are mapped to another domoticz device ID..
Ive got big swaths of unused node-id's because of problematic sensors, im up to a pretty high number now and im still good.

Hi nayr,
Thank you very much for your reply. I understand it is not an issue, just cosmetic. The reset you are talking about is soft or hard?
I did one hard once from domoticz, which indeed erased everything from controller. Modules were lost and needed to be excluded or factory reset to be included again.
Wonder what soft is about.
From openzwave panel I clicked both button without any effect...
