Hi all,

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have the premium version installed, but I can not get any connection to Domoticz.
I have installed Domoticz 2.3530 on a Pi. I tried serveral server-settings (http/https with ports 8080,6144/443, with or without username and password) .

Every time I get the message 'No value for result'. Whatever I try, it won't work.

Does anybody has any idea ?? Is there a manual available how to setup ??

Thanks.

Can you see the domoticz server in your browser and what is the address and portnumber? That's the address and portnumber to get things working for server connection settings together with username and password.

It's able to read the Domoticz version but can't receive any devices.

What's the output of the Domoticz website with the following:

/json.htm?type=devices&filter=all&used=true&order=Name

So if your Domoticz site is: http://192.168.1.11:8080
The URL to test would be:

http://192.168.1.11:8080/json.htm?type= ... order=Name

If had this issue once but I'm unable to reproduce ever since.

I used http://192.168.0.126:8080/json.htm?type ... order=Name to test

The output is:

"Sunrise" : "08:49",

Nice app. Works OK. But..
I have a remark off course. There is an option "Sort Devices".
This is not really about sorting devices but selecting devices and what is actually displayed is allways sorted.
There should be an option not to select and not to sort at all.
In the dashboard view this is very confusing.
In the domoticz website there is already a selection done and the viewing order is already set.
Please update the app at this point and I will buy the premium version.

You are using your local adres but you have to use your internet adres in there. Further below you can set an other server adres for local

When you have forwarded the ports in your router you can but I only use the internal IP adres.
When I am outside I make a VPN connection to my home and start the app.

I have seen a lot of false logins in my domotics log when opening ports to Domoticz. So I will not connect it directly to the internet anymore.

Really weird issue: the JSON call doesn't return any devices.
Since this has to be completed for everyone it works for everyone else.
You could try and reboot your Domoticz server, remove the Android app and reinstall.

I found it. It's a stupid mistake by myself. :(
I setup a new installation of Domoticz and didn't add any hardware yet.
I added the temperaturesensor of the raspberry and it's working now. :)

Thanks for the help and pushing me in the good direction.

Lol, that's also possible.
We'll change the logic behind it so if you don't have any devices your able to continue.

Only a small problem becouse of my environment. I'm using this on Jolla phone(alien dalvik for android support). Looks like there is no wlan ssid listing working yet on Jolla and thats why I cannot use separate settings for local connection. Could it be possible to manually write wlan ssid if the list is empty? Or can I "hack" that setting thru file system?

Hacking would not be easy as the shared preferences has to be exact or the app crashes.
Manual input is not possible yet.
I'll put it on the to-do list.

Hi Guys,

Really thank you for this application and the work you do.

Just a small suggestion for the issue "Camera issues #128", you have a white screen of the cameras whern you are outside of the lan. May be you can use Picasso with basic authentication to get the camera snapshot.
You need also create a new fullUrl of the camera outside, for exemple in my case to access from outside to my RAspiCam the full Url is :

http://88.xx.xx.122:68953/cam snapshot.jpg?idx=1
http:// Public IP : NAT public port / Camera Url

I think you have all the informations in the app to create this fullUrl outside to pass it in Picasso with basic-auth ;)

Maybe it's impossible to do I don't know, I'm not developper just Sys Administrator. But I think this camera screen interress a lot of person when you are not at home ;)

Have a nice day.
