Need to change home.nest.com to different server. I am beta tester and use different server.
Where is it located to change?

I tried changing it in domoticz/hardware/nest.cpp but it tells me "Error: Nest: Invalid data received, or invalid username/password!"
fwiw on the other server they force non-alpha characters in the password.


does domoticz recognize more than one thermostat?

I am noob to this contemplating replacing the Indigo setup I have. So far, imho, this is kicking it's ass...
Theres some things that I have not found replacement for in Domo, yet, but, the things I am able to do, has it beat for a tinkerer like I am trying to be, hands down.
I had a bunch of esp modules laying around and via easyESP I have been up all weekend trying to build modules...

Having a hell of a time with these cheapo PIRs though... thats another thread...

If you look in the code, you can see it does support multiple thermostats

at the top of the code, there are also some debug helpers you can use to write the received output to disk,
and also to load it from disk (so you do not have to hammer the server)

The username/password are also urlencoded

I should have mentioned I am a proverbial noob script kiddie who cuts and pastes until it works. most of it is gibberish, but I do manage to fake my way through it most times.
I've been at this for a few days now with no luck. On other things I have toyed with the nest, it was just a matter of changing the server from home.nest.com to nothome.nest.com and it would work.

the code your referring to is in the hardware/nest.cpp file? I did uncomment a debug line, but can't decipher where it is outputting to the file you referred to, and I didn't see any new data in the regular log.

On the other system I was using, I have a python script someone helped me cobble together that gets the data from the test server on the 3 therms and puts it into the appropriate variables. Looking into trying to convert that to use with this if I can't get this nest plug going.
How does one deposit data into device variables easily?

I think Nest changed something on that server. The old system I was using is not working now either.

First of all, please honor your NDA and do not disclose anything about the Nest beta test program (yes, they're reading this forum too!)

As a beta tester myself I tried a simple redirect by entering the IP and hostname of the beta test server in my domotic's host file, but no go.

I have another way to read it, but was hoping for the plug integration.
I haven't said anything about the program other than it exists.
