[SOLVED] Qubino ZMNHDD1 Wiring

Post by klontje »

Hello,

I've bought a Qubino ZMNHDD1 Z-Wave+. At first I couldn't get the module included and also did the module not respond to manual switching. After calling the shop where I bought it they send me a new module which acted the same as the first. I also ordered a new Gen5 Aeon stick because I already read in the meantime that the new modules weren't compatible with non Z-Wave+ sticks. Now I got the modules connected with Z-Wave and able to control my light over Z-wave but still not able to turn on the lights with the manual switch. After I turned on the light through Z-Wave I am able to turn off the light with the switch. This behaviour is shown by both modules (first one and replacement).

I think it's odd that both modules show the same behaviour; not able to turn lights on with the manual hardwired switch (mono-stable). Attached a picture of the wiring (I took out the module and wired it on the table to make sure I didn't have any wiring mistakes in my walls). I'm also uploading a movie of the behaviour. Can anybody confirm that all Qubino examine this behaviour or that I'm dead out of luck and received two faulty modules?

Switch: Mono-stable push switch Gira 55
Z-Wave stick: Aeon Z-Wave+ Gen5 USB
Domoticz: 2.3696 and 2.3708 (tested on 3696 first the upgraded) with custom OZW XML for the dimmer module on Windows 2012R2
Lighting: Philips dimmable LED bulb (test setup) and 8 x Philips 4W Dimtone LED GU10

Bot setups show same behaviour.

Edit: The configuration of the switches is set to default; mono-stable.

Just guessing as I don't have this type of unit to test this: Shouldn't you use l2 for the switch instead of l1 as the manual states that l1 is for a push button and l2&l3 for push/switch?
What happens when you do a switch on & Off and that 2 times on your current setup, to simulate a push button?

Jos, thanks for your reply but I'm using push buttons (mono-stable also called). There is an option to configure L2 & L3 for bi-stable (normal switches) but that's not by default. It should work with my push button. Here is the youtube video I made:

Update: I also get errors in the Domoticz logging saying that there's a timeout on Node 3 (Qubino dimmer) and device on/off status is not updated in Domoticz.

2015-11-30 12:09:04.601 OpenZWave: Received timeout notification from HomeID: 4261804587, NodeID: 3 (0x03)

I can see in your picture you are connecting the switch contact to the neutral wire (N/blue).
The new Qubino ZWave+ modules need the switch to be connected to the live wire (L/brown).
If you connect them with N, the dimmer will not see the switch operation.

So far for drop-in replacement.
